Job Overview

Tap Room Assistants at Mystic Brewery serve at the front line of the brewery's interaction with the public. They need to be able to communicate our commitment to simple, experimental beer-making.  Dedication and passion has to continue at beer events and be fully apparent to our fans and future fans as you help them understand our vision of beer-making.

This position will be part time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve beer in a friendly, responsible manner.

Become fully versed on all beers served and able to effectively help all customers regardless of their beer knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications:

A shared devotion to the art of artisanal beer making.

Strong work ethic and strong desire to always learn more.

Must be familiar with basics of brewing and packaging beer, including bottle refermentation.

Must be able to lift and tap full kegs (60-150 lbs)

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must have valid drivers licence.

Must have TIPS training (before starting)

Must be reliable, communicate well and manage time well.

Work Environment

Much like a bar server, the successful applicant must be quick, responsive, efficient and observant while serving. The tasting room can be loud and attendants must be able to help customers requiring service that may be up to 15 at a time.
